MicroPoP breaks the tough cell membranes of waste activated sludge microbes instantly, solubilizing (liquefying) the WAS solids into a bio-available food for microbes back in the process, whether aerobic or anaerobic. This enables rapid and complete digestion into biogas as well as enabling recovery of the nutrients as fertilizer, with zero residuals to dispose of. The biogas can be conditioned into RNG.

MicroPoP benefits society by saving money, creating renewable biogas/ fuel, and by lessening impact to the environment. MicroPoP enables 100% recovery of biogas and nutrients as fertilizer from WAS waste (excess microbes from microbial waste water treatment - sewage, pulp and paper, and more). Thus, MicroPoP is the ultimate circular economy technology for complete conversion of WAS into resources in the sewage treatment industry. Currently waste water treatment plants spend about 50% OPEX and CAPEX on managment of WAS.

About the Company

Every city has a network of pipes to collect massive amounts of sewage water and biomass. Microbial wastewater treatment plants remove nutrients and pollutants from sewage to enable millions of gallons of water to be safely discharged to the environment. Microbes clean the water and replicate quickly, creating large amounts of nutrient rich solids to dispose of. Disposal of these solids (called waste activated sludge (WAS), or “biosolids”) is difficult and expensive. Also, the microbes are protected by tough cell membranes that result in slow and incomplete digestion of this solid WAS waste. MicroPoP breaks the tough cell membranes instantly, solubilizing (liquefying) the WAS solids into a bio-available food for microbes back in the process, whether aerobic or anaerobic. Eagleridge has several sizes of demonstration equipment and full scale machinery available. The smallest “Skid Mount Demo” provides onsite technology familiarization and “proof of concept” testing in approx. 3 months at a cost of approx. $100,000. Additional ramp up testing or full scale project proposal preparation can follow as desired. Current ongoing discussions are with groups in Sweden, Germany, Spain and UK. -
