We manage everything in-house including R&D, custom design, sourcing, tooling, and decoration. That means we can bring your custom ideas to life.
Key characteristics and environmental benefits
No more microplastics.
We cannot recycle our way out of the plastic pollution crisis.
95% of recyclable plastics end up in the landfill, so we future-proofed our packaging by inventing a curbside compostable blend instead.
Our material breaks down in <90 days in a commercial compost setting, or just 5-8 hours in a countertop composting machine.
Sustainability starts at the source.
As part of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation community, we’re committed to designing a circular economy.
Clement sources our materials locally in southern China including upcycled bamboo and bioresins made by fermenting plant stocks such as sugars, grasses, vegetable oils, and other agricultural byproducts.
“Clement Packaging uses bamboo upcycled from construction-industry offcuts that would have otherwise been trashed or burnt for kindling. In addition to being fast-growing, bamboo is also an impressive carbon sink — one hectare of bamboo absorbs about 17 tonnes of carbon per year”
— Sustainable Brands, Aug 2023
Clement Packaging products are USDA Certified Biobased Products.
Safety shouldn’t be a sacrifice.
Did you hear that researchers recently found PFAS in paper straws? Foregoing petroleum plastic in favor of a compostable alternative shouldn’t entail making compromises in human safety.
Our packaging does not contain PFAS, phthalates, bisphenol A (BPA), or other harmful additives that could leech into the product. 3rd party testing also shows that we’re compliant with US California Prop 65 standards for heavy metals.
