What I specialize in
I am a materials innovator and biomimicry educator passionate about using science, creativity, and systems thinking to design regenerative solutions.
With a Ph.D. in Chemistry and more than fifteen years in R&D and product innovation, I specialize in connecting biology, materials, and design to create circular, nature-inspired technologies.
My background spans advanced materials, textiles, footwear, insulation, and water systems — always guided by the principle that nature offers the best models for efficiency and resilience.
I currently collaborate with universities, research centres, and companies to integrate biomimicry and regenerative design into product development, education, and strategy. My work bridges innovation and ecological awareness, helping teams reimagine materials and manufacturing through the lens of circularity and respect for natural systems.
Previous projects
-
I co-lead AConnection, helping professionals and communities reconnect with nature as a mentor for innovation and regeneration.
-
I developed an improved Mangrove solar desalination system with Planet Srl.
-
I supervised mycelium-based material projects in collaboration with Novobiom and the Italian National Research Centre.
-
I created educational frameworks for biomimicry supported by the European Community.
-
I led footwear materials innovation at La Sportiva, integrating sustainable polymers and nanocellulose composites.
-
I contributed as a teacher and author for Biomimicry Granada and Conceptual Academy PBC.
-
I supported EU grant applications and evaluation of start-ups for impact-driven investors.
How can I help you
I help organizations, designers, and innovators translate the wisdom of nature into practical, high-impact solutions. Whether it’s developing sustainable materials, embedding biomimicry into design processes, or fostering regenerative thinking across teams, my role is to guide transitions from linear to circular systems. I bring technical depth, creative facilitation, and hands-on experience across industries — enabling partners to align innovation with planetary health. Through workshops, strategy sessions, and co-development projects, I help others see nature not as a resource to exploit but as a mentor to learn from.
